Coronary Heart Disease Nurse Specialists – South Tees Hospital

They provide coronary heart disease prevention clinics in GP surgeries across the Redcar and Cleveland area. They provide risk assessments and give individually tailored advice to patients to address risk factors. This includes prescribing preventative medications. These clinics are delivered in GP practices and in patients homes that are housebound.

Cardiology services – Royal Free London

Heart disease treatment and cardiology services at Barnet, Chase Farm and the Royal Free hospitals

The Royal Free London cardiology department provides a comprehensive service for clinic and ward patients at our hospitals. This means that they treat day patients and those who need to be admitted to hospital overnight or for several days, through:

 

  • a walk-in ECG service, 24-hour ECG and blood pressure monitoring, exercise testing, 2D/3D transthoracic echocardiogram and stress echocardiogram facilities
  • cardiac catheterisation, and permanent pacemaker and ICD implantation and follow-up care
  • a rapid access chest pain clinic, arrhythmia clinics, heart improvement clinic and hospital and community rehabilitation services
  • heart failure clinics
