Obesity Service – County Durham and Darlington NHS trust

The new bariatric clinic at Chester-le-Street Community Hospital is run by a team of obesity experts from County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust (CDDFT). It has been developed to provide advice and support to members of the community by bringing services closer to home.

Haringey Obesity Alliance

Haringey is tackling obesity by developing a whole systems approach (PDF, 450KB) which includes a strong place based approach to the built environment. This includes a range of population level interventions which rely less on conscious choices by individuals and more on changes to the environment and society norms through strong healthy public policy that promotes behaviour change.
